Sinopsis: English-Medium Instruction (EMI) has three effects on teaching learning process. They are 1) effects of EMI on content learning, 2) effects of English proficiency on EMI content learning, and effects of academic ability on EMI content learning. This book discusses the use of EMI by the lecturers in greeting, checking attendance, homework instruction, delivering material, asking questions, quiz instruction, asking for attention, instruction to next activities, checking understanding, encouraging students’ participation, providing motivation, ending the meeting in class, encouraging self-assessment, giving positive feedback, correcting error students’ English speaking, assessing students’ English worksheet, dividing group discussion, daily meeting instruction, performing examples, lecturer’s engaging students, reviewing material in the end of the meeting, and lecturer’s explanation on learning objectives in the beginning of the meeting. The book also contains some recommendations to the university policy maker on the continuing and enhancing the quality of international class program.
